Shilin Night Market Singapore partners with Pickupp, goes fully digital

After almost two months of circuit breaker, Singaporeans might be thirsty for entertainment. So there’s some good news. The legendary Shilin Night Market has partnered with the logistics company Pickupp to digitize its second edition, allowing Singapore residents to experience the festival from home.

Over two weekends, June 12–14 and June 19–21, food enthusiasts will be able to browse through a variety of stores on the Pickupp platform and have the purchased items delivered to their doorsteps.

“As a technology-driven company, we want to be the pioneers in supporting such events as we can expect a potential boost in the digitization of events in the near future,” said Pickupp COO Lee Chee Meng.

All of the orders will be catered through Pickupp’s e-commerce platform, Shop on Pickupp, that was just launched earlier this year. Even though some of the night market’s vendors are already listed on the platform, there is a Shilin-specific category consisting of sellers participating in the event. Most of them are offering Taiwanese snacks, bubble tea, and food from other regions as well.

Founded in 2017, Pickupp provides a technology-enabled delivery specialized in island-wide courier services with time options including 4 hours, next day, and 1–3 days. It currently serves more than 50,000 customers and businesses across Singapore, Hong Kong, and Malaysia.
