Indonesia’s HR tech startup Gadjian launches a new mobile app

Indonesia-based HR tech startup Gadjian launched a new mobile app named GadjianKu to serve the country’s growing millennial workforce.

The new app is an extension of Gadjian’s employee self-service web dashboard. It brings a new set of features, including payslip download, leave application and approval, as well as an employee directory, according to an official statement.

GadjianKu also comes with a workplace engagement feature that allows employees to send greetings and emojis to other team members on a special occasion. The company claimed that this feature sets GadjianKu apart from other local HR apps that mostly focused on basic admin functionalities.

The user experience and features in the GadjianKu app are specifically designed with Indonesia’s growing millennial workforce in mind, said co-founder and CEO Afia Fitriati in the statement. GadjianKu will complement the company’s existing suite of HR solutions, the Gadjian web application and the Hadirr mobile app that tracks employees attendance and sales calls.

Gadjian was founded in 2016 with a mission to help Indonesia’s small and medium enterprises (SME) manage payroll and human resources administration in order to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the workplace. With solutions provided by Gadjian, customers can reduce the time, cost, and stress level usually involved in managing people operations.

The startup has worked with over 2.000 companies since its establishment and it has raised seed funding from Golden Gate Ventures and Maloekoe Ventures in 2016.

The platform is in competition with other HR software companies like Sleekr and East Ventures-backed Synergo.
