Chinese online vocational training platform Sanjieke raises USD 19 million in Series B round

Beijing-headquartered online vocational education platform Sanjieke (“Three Courses” in English) has closed its Series B financing round led by Wu Capital, raising RMB 130 million (USD 18.8 million) from investors, 36Kr reported on Tuesday.

The startup, which was founded in 2015, sells pre-recorded courses to individuals who wish to augment their skill set in internet-related sectors. Sanjieke, which renews its courses every three to five months, told 36Kr that it has gained 1 million paying users.

Sanjieke also creates custom-made training courses for major companies like Alibaba, Baidu, and ByteDance. It is staffed by 150 employees, with 30 focusing on research and development. The company says it has served more than 300 corporate clients in China.

Additionally, Sanjieke has teamed up with online recruitment platforms such as Maimai, a competitor to LinkedIn, to connect its users who have updated their skills with companies in need of fresh talent.

36Kr is KrASIA’s parent company.
