Huawei has won 91 commercial 5G contracts worldwide by now, triple the number from the year previous, the company announced at a product launch in London on Thursday.
Out of the 91 contracts, 47 were from Europe, 27 from Asia and the remaining from other continents.
Ryan Ding, president of Huawei’s Carrier BG business, said during a speech that the company has shipped 600,000 5G base stations since it began manufacturing products for 5G.
The announcement comes as the United States puts pressure on the company, lobbying allies to ban Huawei from their telecom networks.
