Micro-blogging platform Weibo, NetEase Cloud Music, ticket-selling site Damai, Alibaba’s music streaming app Xiami, and pop producer and chairman of Alibaba Entertainment Strategic Committee Gao Xiaosong have joined forces to launch a Chinese version of the online musical event One World: Together at Home.
The three-day livestream special concert, named “Believe in the Future,” will feature “hundreds of musicians” and is set to open to all streaming services and video platforms in real-time, Gao announced on Weibo on Monday. Official dates and more information have not been disclosed yet.
Last weekend, the online benefit show One World: Together at Home, co-organized by the World Health Organisation (WHO) and pop star Lady Gaga raised USD 127 million for coronavirus relief efforts, the Guardian reported.
The concert featured livestreaming performances of renowned musicians such as The Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, and Billie Eilish, among others.
