ByteDance, the company behind TikTok, launched another AI-powered English tutoring app on Wednesday, called Kaiyan Jiandanxue, or “E Say” per its English version, for beginner English learners of all ages.
The developer of E Say is Beijing Diandiankankan Technology, a firm wholly controlled by a ByteDance’s subsidiary. According to its introduction on the Apple App Store, E Say generates “personalized courses for users” and provides “an AI-enabled immersive experience with conversations with native speakers.”
ByteDance has launched a string of educational products in its edtech industry push. Among them are the English tutoring app for kids Guagua Long, a K-12 courses platform called Dali Ketang, and live English-learning platform GoGoKid.
