ByteDance has acquired the workflow tool Mubu, which is similar to the outliner utility app Workflowy, KrASIA’s parent company 36Kr reported on Friday, citing corporate registration information and unnamed sources close to the deal.
Mubu’s founder, Wang Xu, then confirmed the deal with 36Kr. He will remain on board as CEO.
Neither party has disclosed the financial details of the acquisition. ByteDance has yet responded to KrASIA’s request for comment.
ByteDance is also reportedly preparing to launch a work collaboration and productivity app called Lark in the United States and other overseas markets.
