iPrice Group appoints Paul Brown-Kenyon as president and COO

Kuala Lumpur-headquartered meta-search platform iPrice Group has named Paul Brown-Kenyon as its President and Chief Operating Officer (COO).

Although the announcement was officially made today, Brown-Kenyon has been serving as iPrice’s president and COO since January 2019, KrASIA found according to his Linkedin page and direct consultation with the company.

Prior to landing his role at iPrice, Brown-Kenyon briefly served as CEO of fintech aggregation platform iMoney Group. He also previously led the Malaysian provider of satellite services to global broadcasters MEASAT Global for 13 years.

iPrice Group is a product discovery and comparison platform with presence in Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines, Singapore, and Hong Kong.

In an official statement, Brown-Kenyon said that the firm currently assists nearly 20 million users a month, granting them verified products and vendors information.

In late 2018, iPrice Group claimed to have achieved profitability for the first time since its founding in 2014 and announced its intentions to become a sustainable e-commerce company in the long term.

The new appointment is an important development for the company to maintain its good performance, especially since the recently welcomed new funding from South Korean Naver Corp, according to the statement.

The fresh investment came only three months after Naver’s subsidiary Line Ventures led iPrice’s funding round in 2018.
