Go-Viet appoints new general manager

Go-Viet, Go-Jek’s subsidiary in Vietnam, hired Christy Le as the company’s new general manager.

The leadership structure of Go-Viet was recently shaken up after two top executives; general director Nguyen Vu Duc and deputy general director Nguyen Bao Linh left their positions and moved to advisory roles at parent company Go-Jek.

Prior to landing her role in Go-Viet, Le served as the country director of Facebook Vietnam. She also founded a startup called Misfit that was was acquired by wearable company Fossil Group in 2015.

Le believes Go-Viet can follow Go-Jek’s footsteps in transforming the lives of people with the help of technology. “With Go-Viet, I believe we can have a positive, profound impact on millions of consumers, drivers, and service providers across multiple sectors. I can’t think of a more exciting thing to work on in the technology world right now,” she said according to an official statement.

Le has a lot in her plate as she will lead Go-Viet through its next phase of growth. Earlier this month, Go-Viet officially launched Go-Food in Hanoi, after it has recorded nearly six million orders in Ho Chi Minh City.
